Beni Hana Go expected to arrive in January 2009

Yes, we mean it here, at Hachimantai Kennel.

We just decided to go for it and purchase our third Аkita straight in Japan , from Jitaro Nakagawa, President of the National Akita Club of Japan and one of Japan 's most honoured Аkita experts.

Beni Hana, which means “red flower” in Japanese, is an absolute beauty, born on July 10, 2008, with a very impressive pedigree.

Her mother, Ne Ne Go, is no less than a Meiyosho winner, the highest award that can be attained by an Akita in Japan , awarded to dogs and bitches only at AKIHO Headquarters sponsored shows. Only dogs and bitches who have achieved the TOKUYU ( Superior ) rating qualify for such shows . These dogs are considered to have extra special qualities. A MEIYOSHO winner is not merely the top winning dog of a particular AKIHO Headquarters show. As the Akita is judged according to an absolute standard, a given show may produce a MEIYOSHO winner, may not produce a winner, or it may produce more than one winner. Therefore, these winners may be considered the Grand Champions of AKIHO shows. A MEIYOSHO winner can never compete again, only be exhibited.

Let's now hope that Beni Hana Go will make Ne Ne Go very proud! She'll be in good company, that's for sure, as Kadzuko, Aihime and Kansai were each awarded Champion of Ukraine titles on December 13 and 14 during two FCI CACIB shows in Kiev . Kadzuko was actually crowned Grand Champion of Ukraine , as he already obtained Champion titles in the past. Click on the link for more info on this topic.
