Here at Hachimantai we take the breeding of our Akitas very seriously, it isn't a case of two dogs mating to produce puppies, or using the substandard stud dog from down the road for convenience. Each breeding is carefully planned and is given great time and consideration into producing a quality puppy that not only excels in breed type but has the temperament we desire, which is of paramount importance when breeding such a large and powerful breed.
Researchers say that the female contributes up to 70% of a puppy's genetic makeup. We here at Hachimantai Kennel take that research very seriously. The female is the starting foundation combined with a stud dog that will compliment and add to that “design” to produce quality and good looks. To that end, at the end of April 2009 we are expecting an Akita Inu litter out of the highest quality dogs from a variety of the purest Japanese bloodlines.
Hachimantai kennel is pleased to announce the mating between:
(Sire) 2 CAC, Champion of Ukraine Mikunihomare Go Kagano Yaoya (import Japan)
(Dam) 2 CAC, 2 CACIB, Champion of Ukraine Aihime Go Seaside Nakagawa (import Japan)
Both sire and dam are from Champion bloodlines and already proved it in a more than convincing way. Puppies will be born in the house, will be raised indoors in a family environment and will be familiar with everyday household sounds. Training to cleanliness and coexistence with other dogs will become an integral part of their initial upbringing, while regular visits of a vet who'll attend to scheduled deworming and vaccination will become a reliable guarantee of their health.
N.B! Although all Akita pups look adorable, please do some research into the breed before going out to buy a puppy. This breed can be quite dominant and assertive with other dogs, which can be a problem if placed in the wrong hands. However, after years of experience of showing Akita's and breeding pups with the correct discipline and puppy socialization, we consider most Akita's to be very loyal, loving and protective friends.
